Do you use the command-line, do you use a client, etc. Just answer :P.

The poll is running for a week.

SourceTree mostly. Very occasionally a tiny bit of command line, when it comes to doing stuff that SourceTree doesn't support via GUI.

Gui. Hated it.

I prefer to download the repo as a zip file.

I use the Git command-line command. It's just neat. I had to use it to fix some of my commits for DarkMultiPlayer, and I just kept using it.

I... think you mean Git?

Yeah, it's quite unwieldly. But most GUI solutions for it do well (SourceTree is alright).

I also like downloading the repo, but then you'll have to redownload every time you want to update. Git also has the advantage of keeping a linear history and stuff, so there's that.

It's good for keeping track of development, I guess. Not too important for small projects, but it could be a huge boon for larger ones.

Yes, it is the GitHub thing that I never really understood.
I just download it to keep my file system uncluttered.
And I just work that way.

Oh yes, without any form of version control, the "Backup" folders get out of hand fast.
I've been there, friend. I've been there.

I'm late to the party, but I'm almost exclusively command line. That's how I learned it, Git GUI's seem totally unwieldy once you know some command-line-fu.

Yes i also noted that during development and learning that it is the GitHub thing that I never really understood. I just download it to keep my file system uncluttered. And I just work that way in all.

At work, I use Git from the command-line on our web server; it's on Linux and the only GUI is something our sysadmin set up called "Webmin" (basically a web interface to the entire OS), so command line is kinda my only option there. But for projects that are not on our web server I use the "Git GUI" that you get when you download/install Git. This is also what I use at home.
