Hy,

According to me, Gaming Apps should be user-friendly first. There is no meaning, if we apply high Graphics,and users don't find it useful and ease of use.

So, yes,we can start with simple functionality,where users can play the games and simply enjoy!! After all, the concept of Gaming remains same.

Then, after in designing part,would be easy to implement as per the particular's need!!

Idea: Display a countdown in the upper right of an RPG. Don't tell players what it's for, but address it in the inner monologue of the main character.

This reminds me of the game borrowed time (http://www.mobygames.com/game/borrowed-time) where after a couple of steps it would tell you someones coming after you and if you don't do some specific steps you end up dead!

Turn-based battles with emotional health/etc. could be very nice. Like Cross's example, you'd have to do the right actions to woo a girl, or say the right things to fool a guard.

You know, a court could be a nice setting for this kind of game. You could be a lawyer or defendant, and your health would be your "credibility" or something. You have to say the right thing or present the correct evidence at the right time to drop your enemy (the other party/jury/judge/defendant/whatever)'s "credibility" and increase yours.

A detective game could also have the interrogation part be like this.

Idea: A Zork-like text adventure, only that you write the text while the computer makes decisions.

Idea: the pen is mightier than the sword - literally! You play a writer who believes in this quote so much that you decide to fight a bunch of swordsmen with an ink - shooting gun.

Idea: A story-driven fantasy RPG where sleeping is the only way to save. The game tracks how long it's been offline and incorporates real-life time that passed inbetween as the main character's recurring weird dreams.

Could be nicely combined with the idea of persistent reloads, e.g. characters noticing what happened in previous runs in a deja-vu like fashion.
