Blog entry:
Package Management in Duality
If you’re a C# developer, there’s a good chance that you already know what NuGet is, or at least have overheard someone talking about it. The main idea is to stop delivering precompiled dependencies along with source code, and instead provide a central repository where all these binary packages are stored. Whenever someone needs one of them, it can be downloaded automatically, and whenever a new version is available, upgrading is only a mouse click away. Package Management is just incredibly convenient – and now, Duality makes use of it. Let’s take a quick look at how it works.

A couple of issues on first look: First, the scrolling on the package management page sometimes gets stuck on the combo box to choose whether you are looking at installed or online packages. This should never happen as scrolling in that box is pointless and should always effect the package list instead. Second, the tags for the Backwards Compatibility component include steering, component, and ai which I think is wrong ;) Other than that, looks awesome!

Hi Devagamster,

you're absolutely right in pointing out the scrolling issue. That is indeed quite annoying, so I have added it to the already existing Package Management summary issue on GitHub. Feel free to follow it if you want to stay updated :) The wrong tags are fixed now, but since this is a rather uncritical issue, I'll wait for some more fixed issues to stack up before publishing it.

Thanks for your feedback!
