Showcasing the next, incoming functionalities of Frozen.FX: particle attractors/repulsors (red/green circles), and "randomized" geometry (the default material quad can be squished more or less, depending on a parameter of the Emitter) ^^

Wow!

Can't wait to get my hands on this... :O Looks awesome! What are those shapes by the way? Can I replace the circles with RigidBody?

Thanks ^^ I hope to have it ready in a few days at most.

oh, they are just a reminder of where the attractor/repulsor are - and no, they cannot be replaced by RigidBodies for now, they are simply point-like entities that affect particles in a radius around them. Nothing more ^^

Ah, okay. I was just thinking about doing the same thing with polygon shapes... Imagine all the smoke coming out from the cave in front of you in a platformer game... x)

Well, it's only the Attractor/Repulsort that are point-like, the emitter can be a Point, a Rectangle, a Circle, a Cube or a Sphere, and it can be easily extended to a custom polygon or solid, if you so desire ^^

Well, it appears that there are some issues with Frozen.FX having somehow a reference to a specific version of Duality (see this thread for an explanation).

Today I got further confirmation that it is, in fact, an issue of the plugin so I unlisted version 2.0 of Frozen.FX from NuGet, until I can find out why it's happening.

So until further notice, consider Frozen.FX broken and unavailable for Duality 2.

Sorry about that :(

Hmm.. do you know what's going on yet, or what could have caused the issue?

Edit: I'm getting a similar error with the Frozen Procedural plugin:

Code:
[Core] Msg:   Plugins\SnowyPeak.Duality.Frozen.Procedural.core.dll...
[Core] Msg:     Assembly loaded: SnowyPeak.Duality.Frozen.Procedural.core
[Edit] ERR:     An error occurred: TypeLoadException: Could not load type 'Duality.Rect' from assembly 'Duality, Version=2.1.5.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null'.
                CallStack:
at System.Windows.Forms.Control.MarshaledInvoke(Control caller, Delegate method, Object[] args, Boolean synchronous)
                   at System.Windows.Forms.Control.Invoke(Delegate method, Object[] args)
                   at Duality.Editor.Forms.SplashScreen.mainFormLoader_DoWork(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs e) in c:\projects\duality\DualityEditor\Forms\SplashScreen.cs:line 33
                   at System.ComponentModel.BackgroundWorker.WorkerThreadStart(Object argument)

The data plugins appear to be fine, so does core.

Edit2: Opening the downloaded plugin dll from Frozen Procedural with ILSpy, I'm getting this:
Code:
[assembly: AssemblyVersion("1.0.4.0")]
[assembly: Debuggable(DebuggableAttribute.DebuggingModes.IgnoreSymbolStoreSequencePoints)]
[assembly: AssemblyCompany("")]
[assembly: AssemblyCopyright("Copyright © Alessandro Pilati 2014")]
[assembly: AssemblyProduct("Duality Frozen Procedural plugin")]
[assembly: AssemblyTitle("SnowyPeak.Duality.Plugin.Frozen.Procedural")]
[assembly: AssemblyTrademark("")]
[assembly: NeutralResourcesLanguage("en-US", UltimateResourceFallbackLocation.MainAssembly)]
[assembly: CompilationRelaxations(8)]
[assembly: RuntimeCompatibility(WrapNonExceptionThrows = true)]
[assembly: ComVisible(false)]
[assembly: Guid("d52af1b2-d154-411b-8c7c-b78d84889d9b")]
[assembly: TargetFramework(".NETFramework,Version=v4.0", FrameworkDisplayName = ".NET Framework 4")]

AssemblyVersion 1.0.4? .Net Framework 4? Is it possible that somehow an old pre-v2.0 build slipped into the nuget package? It also references OpenTK and v1.x Duality Assemblies, as well as an old Frozen Core version.

Thanks everyone for the support. It seems that somehow I either forgot to rebuild the solution, the solution didn't rebuild when I wanted to, or the nuspec didn't save and went with the old one :/

In any case, version 2.0.1 of all plugins is online and ready for use (including the new UI plugin) ^^

Again, sorry for the inconvenience

EDIT: One last thing.. UI Widgets do not support scaling.. it makes the text look weird

Wow! Just tried this and it's amazing. I was going to make a particle emitter, but you already did it :D
Also, in my quest for procedural texture generation, I think your lib will be a very good choice, although I'm not sure how to use that part yet.
Anyway, just wanted to thank you for sharing this awesome plugin.
