While driving, musing about this particular project, I just conceived the story to be unveiled throughout the game.

I hope it's any good.

The names of the characters arealready set: Nick and Polly. From there on, it is something to be unveiled.

I am trying to tie the story elements into playable segments. That by itself is probably the biggest challenge.

Little small update after some absense (you know, life things):
I managed to wrap my head around on how to make a sprite transparent/invisible.

Go figure. Yay me. :rly:

For real. It's a bit roundabout, but that's Duality for ya. Also, my self-teaching is obviously at fault, because I just can't expect to have the same performance as someone with formal education.

But this is important, as it's something I should expect when messing wih something as low-level as Duality. It's good exercise.

Who knows, I just might make a writeup about this in the tutorials section if such a thing is the same in version 2.

This now allows me to move on, because damn, that was a pain. I can now remove my characters out of the play area gracefully, and use the invisible sprite as a goal, which is hard when they are destroyed.

Still planning levels, but that is for later.

Glad to hear you're making progress. If this is all new for you, it's no wonder that not all of it might be immediately obvious. Don't worry too much about it:

Exactly.^^

If you're stuck or need some pointers to start, feel free to ask! There's a reason the Duality Programming category is the most-used here :D

(Though I can certainly understand the mindset to choose not to and try yourself for a while instead)
