A new series (hopefully with more than a handful of "episodes") where I will sometimes post some simple stuff that can be made with Duality in a few hours.

Feel free to analyze, copy, take it apart and so on :D If you want the full source for the project, just ask

Enjoy!!

Ooh, shiny! What else have you got lined up for the series?
EDIT: Was the background music question for this project?

Ohh, this revives a lot of old memories. Almost expecting the RpgMaker main menu to pop up, letting me jump right into some retro Rpg action :D Neat!

Looking forward to more stuff ^^

It's quite nice, but as you mentioned, missing some of that eye candy that was present in the first episode.
I notice you said that you were altering the LinearVelocity. Might I ask why this instead of using some other methods (such as ApplyLocalForce)?
I have another question, as well. You mentioned you made the borders of the scene using Static RigidBodies. Exactly how do you do that? Do you use the Loop shape, or do you simply use multiple Polygonal shapes and create rectangles for the four sides?

Ah, yes.. but as I said at start, it's supposed to be stuff that it's quick to make.. I try to keep myself under 1 "work day" (8 hours) to avoid going into feature creep.

This time I preferred to spend time on the coding side of the spectrum :) maybe in the future I'll upgrade it with some better visuals (hmm.. thinking about it, I could reuse the first ep's scene as menu and make a game about dragons shooting lightning at each other :wtf: I'll have to think about it, especially see how it can be cut down to 8 hours-bites)

No reason, really.. I just thought it would have been better suited to the concept of a continuous interaction between the ball and the other entities.

4 rectangles around the screen, yes.

There's definitely some stagnation in that market. Go for it.

I really like the Moon Dragon episode. It's got a great old school rpg/adventure atmosphere.

I also love the idea of little tiny "snippet" projects like this. I think people will find them inspiring.
