Run & Gun

I started working on this so I can actually get started with Duality. It's a simple infinite runner game where you'll jump obstacles and shoot enemies with two guns (pistol and machine gun).

I made the sprites myself and they are extremely small (I had to resize them 400%: 200% in my sprite editor and 200% by setting the camera's RefDist to 1000).

Soon enough. :P

- 23/03: In these days, I started coding the basic mechanics of the game, such as the scrolling backgrounds and the player (who can't move, only jump).

I missed having a rectangle that would show me what the camera will show in game, like Unity does. That being said, I had to actually compile & run the game a few times in order to place the backgrounds in the correct place.

I was kinda upset that I couldn't get to know the mouse coords via scene editor so I could limit the player's vertical motion (by knowing this "vertical border"). Then I realized I could simply make an object that would draw it t the canvas and get it to show in the scene editor, lol. That's simply amazing!

I think you can switch to the scene cam to see what exactly gets rendered. And you can make something like this small window which shows how the scene looks like in the real game with render targets and render passes.

Just add a new camera and set it to game view. And about the mouse coords, I think there's a rectangle that gets drawn on the scene editor that shows the mouse coords. Not sure if it's what you want, though.

You can always implement a renderer component and draw a rectangle with your window size, with the top left at 0,0.

I did that a few times and worked quite well.

I have github. Apologies in advance for bad coding practices.
