Blog entry:
Dynamic Lighting Test
As I’m experimenting with the “custom Rendering” capabilities of Duality there happens to be a new tech demo for you to download and play around with. It features per-pixel lighting using directional, ambient, spot and point lights.

Note that I didn’t touch any Duality code to implement the dynamic lighting technique – it’s all done inside the plugin.

I tried the test and it is really impressive! What is current status of this? Is it still only experimental feature? Do you have any specific problems with it?

It's an experimental feature that hasn't been used in an actual game yet. Still, it works as intended and can be used. It should also be possible to extend the existing dynamic lighting functionality of the plugin without severe problems, but keep in mind that the technical setup behind it is only one of several that could be implemented to achieve a similar effect.

Edit: Please note that the attached demo from this blog posting is only a prototype. By now, there is a distinct DynamicLighting plugin in the GitHub repository, which should be preferred.

Oh wow. This is awesome.
I was actually trying to do something similar (albeit simpler), but this just blows my stuff out the water.
